Bishop of Lichfield’s Lent Appeal 2011: Please support generously. The issue is relevant to St. Mary’s. Street Pastors use our hall as their base; we should generously help and encourage our link dioceses. Cash please in the carboy by the font; tax payers please gift aid using the blue envelopes – fill in the details legibly and place on the collection plate. The Appeal will run throughout Lent. Mothers’ Union, Tuesday 8^th March: Deanery Meeting at 2.00pm in St. Mary’s Lady Chapel – A Celebration  for Lady Day, with Rev’d Mandy

House Group, Wednesday 9^th March: Holy Communion for Ash Wednesday at 12.30, followed by a Lenten Lunch in the Church Hall. Money raised will go towards the Bishop’s Lent Appeal

Men's Meet, Thursday 10^th March: An opportunity for men to meet informally at The Spittal Brook Pub, Lichfield Road from 7.30pm onwards

“The Bible and Peace and Justice” Saturday 12^th March: 11.00am – 12.00 with Professor Christine King of Staffordshire University. The second in a series of talks marking the 400^th Anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible

Mothers’ Union, Thursday 24^th March: 10.00am Holy Communion in Church followed by a Lent Meditation led by Mr. Andrew Sillito. Lent Lunch in the Church Hall. Proceeds to Mothers’ Union charities.

Christian Aid Super Soup Lunch, Friday March 25^th: From 12.00 to 2.00pm in St. Mary’s. Details to follow.
