NOTICES

  • Bishop of Lichfield’s Lent Appeal leaflet and envelopes are at the back of church.

  • Stewarding at St. Mary’s: We need someone to steward and open up on alternate Wednesday mornings from Easter onwards. Please ring Pauline in the office if you can help.

  • Nomination Forms for Church-wardens, P.C.C. and D.C.C. members and Sidespersons are at the back of church. We need nominations for all of these.

  • The Annual General District Church Council Meeting will take place on Sunday 21st March after the 9.30 Service.

  • If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of the Easter flowers, please see Isobel.

 

 

EVENTS

  • Bible Study on 10th March has been cancelled. Next Bible Study 24th March at The Rectory.

  • Lent Course: “When I Survey” exploring key themes on the crucifixion. Dates:  Tuesday Evenings at 7.30 at St. Bertelin’s: 9th, 16th & 23rd March. Also: Friday Lunchtimes at St. Peter’s Rickerscote: following Mass at 12.00 noon and a light lunch. (Fridays 12th, 19th & 26th March) Please let Revd. Mandy Walker know if you are planning to attend.

  • Mothers’ Union, Tuesday 9th March: Deanery Meeting – Celebration for Lady Day at St. Thomas’ Church, Walton at 2.00pm.

  • House Group, Wednesday 10th March: 12.30pm, Holy Communion in Church followed by Lenten Lunch in the Church Hall, (in aid of the Bishop’s Lent Appeal)

  • Cantemus Coffee Concert, Saturday 20th March: 11.00am in Church

  • Mothers’ Union, Thursday 25th March: Holy Communion at 10.00am followed by a meditation for Lady Day in Church. Lent Lunch in the Church Hall.

  • Christian Aid 'Super Soup Lunch', Friday 26th March: 12.00-2.00pm in Church, please support if you can.

  • Training for Readers /Intercessors, Saturday 27th March: 10.00am-10.45am for intercessors and 10.45am-11.30am for readers and intercessors

  • Prayer & Spirituality Weekend, Friday Evening 16th April & Saturday 17th April: With Revd. David Runcorn, details on leaflet and at the back of Church.

  • Friends of St. Mary proposed visit to Blenheim Palace, Sat 15th May: All members of the congregation, family and friends are invited. Cost, with admission: Adults £21.50, Senior Citizens £20.00, Children £15.75. Please see Joyce Cox.
