The Friends of St. Mary's The Friends of the Collegiate Church of St. Mary, Stafford was launched on 21st July 1996 with an Inaugural Service at St. Mary's church followed by a reception at the Oak Room in the County Buildings, by kind permission of the Chairman of the County Council. The objective of The Friends is to assist in maintaining, restoring, preserving, improving, beautifying and reconstructing the fabric of the church, its monuments, fixtures and fittings by organising fundraising events which also provide an opportunity for socialising. Annual Membership costs £10 per family. Individual Life Membership costs £100.
